Though rooted in vernacular forms and massing, the exaggerated scale and contemporary detailing of this 2,700sf residence in the South Village of Palmetto Bluff constitute a modern interpretation of Lowcountry architecture. To achieve LEED Gold certification, the residence thoughtfully incorporates state-of-the-art technology, including HVAC systems, high-efficiency plumbing and lighting systems, and a gray water collection system. A number of recycled or salvaged building materials and low-VOC paints and sealants were selected to further minimize environmental impact.
